Just got a reply from buy.com after questioning why neither The Ice Storm or Almost Famous have shipped.

expected. Due to a setback from the manufacturer, items 40148800 and
40148818 from your order *******, is on backorder. Unfortunately, we do
not have an estimated time of arrival. However, you will receive an
email from us once it does ship. Please note that your credit card will
not be billed until that time. If you paid by check or money order and
decide to cancel your order, we will automatically issue a refund check
to you.

Has anyone received either of these items from buy.com? I placed my order on January 16th. I thought that may have guaranteed me prompt shipping of both.

Have no idea about Almost Famous, but like you I sent an E-mail to Buy.com asking what was up with my "The Rock CC" and got the same response. Maybe it's not a Buy.com week?

They Shipped my Almost Famous and Wonder Boys just yesterday,but backordered my Ice Storm.

Well, we know they aren't too busy working on their grammar.

They told me the same exact thing for Bedazzled and another movie i ordered this week. What a joke. I would cancel if i hadnt used a $30 off coupon. Now just need amazon to ship the rock:criterian. Except for my already preordered X-files Season 3 i have had it with online stores

I'm glad all of my orders are with Amazon right now, after dealing with their CS I just don't want to go anywhere else. And their 30% preorder policy is about the best you can get now. Hell, they even have a few coupons right, I can't say the same for Buy.com. BTW, my rock criterion shipped on tuesday.
