I ordered Ben-Hur from Amazon and it actually arrived on release day! Holy Crap! When I pulled it out of the mailbox I was filled with a sense of wonder knowing it was either an accident or a miracle and would likely never be repeated. It has certainly never happened before.

In all honesty, I've never had any problems with Amazon so I cannot complain.

Good news to hear though.

Was it by USPS Media Mail (Book Rate), First Class, or Priority Mail?

First Class. I suspect Amazon is now shipping by whatever method is least expensive. Strange as it may seem first class is slightly cheaper than media mail for a single disk. Downside is that there is no tracking for first class mail - only priority and media mail. They may require tracking bayond a certain dollar value or the determination may be made strictly on weight. I really don't know. However, it does appear they are using media mail instead of priority. Despite my jest, I don't really mind when I have a coupon or GC. Amazon still has the best customer service. If I'm looking for best price there are other places...

I just got an email notice that Ben Hur shipped today - two days late. I'm rather unthrilled with them. I had pre-ordered this and Rear Window. They said they'd ship separately. They didn't (not that they had to) but said they would on two separate occasions.
