I remember about 6 weeks ago, everyone started whining because Netflix was raising the unlimited rental service price to $24.95 in March. However, this didn't happen for me (I signed up in January), and if you go to their homepage without logging in, they still list the price as $19.95.
So, what happened???
(I am glad it scared off a lot of people because service has gotten much better every month since I have been with them).

With your March billing period if you were under the old 4 DVD's at $19.95 your price went up to $24.95. Unless you opted for 3 DVDs for $19.99. Due to price hikes and bad service I left. Glad its getting better and if you made out hats off.

I may be wrong but I think this price hike only applies to new customers. I've been a customer for quite a while under the 4 for $19.95 plan and haven't received any notification from Netflix that the cost of my plan is going up.

Nope - the price hike applies to everyone. If you do nothing - you will remain at the same price, but you will get 1 less DVD to have out.
$13.95 - 2 movies
$19.95 - 3 movies
$24.95 - 4 movies
$29.95 - 5 movies
$39.95 - 8 movies
It blows - I was originally at $14.95 for 4 movies a year ago - now I'm up at $24.95. If they don't do something about the New Release problem - I'll probably quit and try the video store 30 day program thing.
