has anyone else out there had problems with amazon and their shipping lately? i have been ordering stuff from them for a long time and have never had any problems with timely shipping and stuff arriving but lately i have had to call them and remind them to ship my stuff. my last two orders have been over a month after the street date and i finally called and said,'where the heck is my stuff?'

Hmmm, I got something last week just fine from Amazon. Mind you, it was a book, not a DVD if that has anything to do with it.

No problems like that here. They usually wait til release date to ship for me (it used to be consistently the day before), but it's not weeks and weeks I'm waiting.

My latest order has said "on hand" for 8 days now and still hasn't shipped.

I had this problem last month... my order sat there for 2 weeks saying that items were on hand waiting to be shipped... took a call to Customer Service to get it out the door...

I preordered What Lies Beneath, and it has yet to ship, despite its listing as "ships within 24 hrs." <sigh> I even emailed the CSRs, but that didn't help.

Keep in mind that they just laid off 1400 workers. I had an order that shipped Tuesday and arrived on Saturday last week.

I'm glad I found this thread, as I also have not yet received a shipping confirmation for "Do the Right Thing" and "Broken Blossoms" despite pre-ordering months in advance. Yes, they have laid off many workers, but it looks as if it's coming at the expense of prompt customer service.

Same here. I pre-ordered Revenge of the Nerds 1 & 2 on DVD. Nothing yet! Estimated arrival time ... Feb 23. - Mar. 1.! WTF!
