Hi everyone
I'm a newbie here, so first off I just wanted to thank everyone for making their posts. I's been very helpfull getting other peoples opinions. Now for my question:
I just placed an order with DVD Planet for the first time. I was real suprised with their selection. I saw some titles there I did not see on any other web site or retail store. How did they get these titles? I figured I would have seen them SOMEWHERE else. Also, how are they as far as shipment speed?
Thanks again

DVD Planet formerly Ken Crane's has been in business longer than any of the online dvd stores and they have been stocking all of the titles as they are released from day one. The reason why the stock titles that no one else does, is because they were a Laserdisc mail order company long before dvd and their reputation was built on carrying all titles and they cattered to the die hard LD crowd. They simply just tried to continue to catter to that same clientel as well as the newbies to the industry as dvd became more popular. Plus, they have had a close relationship with Imade Entertainment, which was the largest LD distributor and now the largest dvd distributor. Image now owns DVD Planet, but the same staff runs the place, including the original owner Ken Crane Jr. So they will continue to carry those odd titles that no one else will.

Yeah, they are fine.
Just furthering what Dvde said, some shops have relationships with more studios then others so you'll find they stock hard to get titles sometimes.

I posted the same question a little while back... and got positive reviews. I have since ordered from them and have had no problems. Only trick is to order what's in stock, otherwise they could nail you with separate shipment fee for each part of the order they ship. So far their in stock indicators have been accurate - no surprises.

Just used them for the 4th time and am super satisfied.
You might want to use them to get the Out of Print Silence of the Lambs / Robocop / Unbearable Lightness of being.
I Just got my SOTL from them with no problems and at a good price to boot.
