Does anybody have any experience with Direct Video for buying DVDs?

They're in Ontario, Canada and currently have a very good price on the upcoming re-release (March 13) of Titus: SE ...$15.82 U.S.

Anybody?

I have dealt with them in the past and they are a reputable company.

Anybody else have any comments about video direct? Or about video now (also a Canadian company)?

I ordered Young Frankenstein and History of the World and they were listed as being on back order for over 1 month. I also found out they charged my credit card. I got Deep Discount DVd to price match and cancelled the order but it took 3 emails and several days for them to acknowledge that they would cancel the order. They said they were going to advise accounting to credit my credit card We'll see!

I placed an order with them on the 21st of January. Never got a shipping confirmation, so I emailed them about it on the 30th, they said it shipped on the 29th and to wait 5-7 days, I'll post an update when I actually get it. Btw, the DVD I ordered was the "Army of Darkness: Director's Cut", a limited edition of 5000, from what I have read this is the "Canadian" release of this, and the "American" version had either 30,000 or 40,000, can anyone validate this?

In the USA all of the first run were given out. They then ran off 5000 copies for Canada only that are marked 1-5000.

More than 2 months

I ordered from them first week of December 2000 and my credit card was billed on December 6 but no order came. During the 3rd week of January I made a follow-up and I was informed that my order was rejected because it has a wrong address according to the postoffice eventhough it was correct. Accordingly they mailed it back to me on Jan. 24 and up to now I am still waiting... I kept on sending an e-mail to the company and I am not receiving any reply..They really have a very poor customer service. Better order from reliable stores like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Express.com., etc. I never encountered this kind of problem before.
