"The shipping of this item will be delayed 5 days as we are upgrading our fulfillment systems" - I wonder if they're having power problems over there on the left coast. This mesage prints out under each item I put in my cart.

Same here. I am planning on waiting for 5 days to see if the messages disappear.

It's only coming up for dvds, whether in stock or preorder. CDs do not get this message.

Does this mean that the delay will only occur in items shipping in the next five days, or all dvds, even ones coming out in months?

You guys are paranoid. Call Oliver Stone.

You kids today. When I was young in the 60's we had to walk 3 miles through snow drifts to get our DVD's.

Sounds like you were stoned if you walked 3 miles in snow drifts to get your DVDs. Tree hugging hippies

I actually have some info to help clairfy this. I talked to a friend at Ingram who told me that it was because Ingram is doing their inventory, and was not shipping at the time. Hope that helps.

FYI, buy.com is in SoCal. Rolling blackouts have only hit northern cal as far as I have heard.

The comment above about the distributor is the most likely reason.

Plus Buy.com has multiple warehouses.. I've ordered from them and had stuff shipped from PA, CA, and maybe even NJ... Depends on what you order. Ya just have to be patient!

I received this message when I ordered my copy of Silverado on Thursday of last week, and I got an email last night stating that they were still searching for this title and it could be a while, and I just now (4:30 p.m. est) received an email that my DVD is on it's way. Sounds like the post above about distributor doing inventory is likely.

Jerry Bruckheimer should be bludgeoned to death with the bleached bones of Wolfgang Peterson while Tom Cruise digs the hole to bury all three of them.
