I have never posted a complaint about an online store before, but after 2 problems in a week with this company, I feel like I have to.

First problem:

On October 31, I used one of those Djangos 20% off codes that were posted on the coupon page. I used it to preorder 5 movies so I could use their free shipping in order to add to my value. I received a confirmation e-mail that confirmed the order I placed. Well, there policy clearly states that preorder are shipped upon release. As of December 1, I noticed that I had not received either Gladiator or X-Men. I e-mailed a question to customer service about my order. I got a response the next day saying that my order had apparently been lost in the system and they had no record of it. Nick Hastings told me that he apologized for the problem. He told me to make my order again and he would give me my original prices and take $10 off on the order. This sounded more than fair to me. I will now be receiving Gladiator, X-Men, Seven, Bring It On, and Coyote Ugly for $78.13 with no shipping costs. However, I am being forced to pay the $133.64 of my replacement order. He says that he will refund the overcharge once my entire order has finished shipping (February). I don't agree with this, but there is not much I can do about it.

Second Problem:

Today, I checked the status of the other order I placed with them using another of the 20% off coupons on November 1. Once again, I ordered 5 items so that I wouldn't have to pay a shipping charge. I got a confirmation e-mail listing my order and telling me that it would ship out as the items were released. I have already received U-571, Perfect Storm, and Things To Do in Denver When You're Dead. The only 2 things left to ship are Virgin Suicides and The Cell. So, I feel like no problem. I get notice today that Virgin Suicides has shipped. I get curious about The Cell and when I look on the order page of my account, it no longer appears in the order. I have sent off another e-mail to customer service, but I don't know what I am going to hear.

I just wanted to give everybody a heads up about potential problems there. These are the only 2 orders that I have ever placed with them, so there track record is not very good with me.

Anybody else having similar problems?

I've had pretty much the exact same problems.

Ordered 5 with the 20% coupon.

Chicken Run never shipped on the week of release. Emailed them and got the "lost in the system" reply. Even though it was right there in my order history.

Ordered it again as a single and was told my card would be credited with the difference.

Sames things happened with Seven this week.

I've dealt with Dennis Traylor, whos been very helpful, but I'll have to wait and see how much I've been charged.

The worrying thing is that that order has now disappeared from my order history so I hope I dont have any trouble getting the remaining 3 titles. I've printed a copy, but still.

Yeah Django's order management system seems to screw up pretty regularly. I don't think they really care about their on-line business all that much. Another irritating thing they do is list inventory on there own site and other sites simultaneously (half.com, for example). Then when it sells on one site, they don't update the inventory on the other sites.

Follow up to Problem # 2.

Djangos said that The Cell apparently disappeared from my order. They said I could reorder it and they would pay the shipping. But, since the price has risen dramatically since my original order, that just dosn't seem like a good deal. I am going to say no to Djangos in the future.

I have only ordered two or three times from them in the past...always one disc at a time!!! I will remember not to order more than one in the future if this is how they treat their customers!!!
