Amazon and partially shipped order cancellation?

Let's suppose I would do this at Amazon:
- Order in-stock and pre-order items (to reach coupon minimum)
- Pay them using a coupon and GC (not enough to cover in-stock item and shipping, ie. must use CC anyway)
- Have them ship items as soon as available
Could I cancel pre-order item after first one has shipped and still use coupon or are they going to charge my CC full coupon amount or part of it? Will there still be cancel option available in account maintenance page?
