in case any of you did that $20 free a long time ago & never got your money, as of Dec 1 they will close your account & send dough to whatever address you had on file.
I couldn't be more delighted! I got caught in the biggest fiasco w/ them a long time ago -- they sent me this stack of checks (when all i wanted was the damn $20) and i confused their checks for my usual ones. So i paid two bills w/ them, and didn't realize it. Now i am trying to get them to take off this $15 late/service fee and just pay them the amount i wrote the checks for (minus the $20). But if you call them on the phone you are on hold for 40 minutes at least. I spoke to a 'manager' who said he didn't have the authorization to remove late charges (have you ever heard of a place that won't let managers do this!!) and said he had to send it to an 'escelation team' HAHAHA.
Anyway, i guess i am still liable for the debt but at least they went out of business. Dance on the grave of another failed dot.com
