I am considering placing a multiple DVD order at 800.com - some are preorders with different release dates.
Does anyone know if they hold orders until the last preorder date?
Thanks,
Matt

Preorders ship as they become available (all 11/21 would ship in one package, all 11/28 in another, etc.) Shipping charges are $1.95 + $0.95 + $0.95 + ... for EACH package.

SMACK
This is not correct. They are charging $1.95 per pre-order even if they are released on the same date. What dev-null should be saying is they are telling people (what he quoted) but it isn't true.

OUCH!!! I asked for that one, heh.
Thanks for setting me straight.I wish 800 had more options for shipping, e.g., "hold until complete" / "ship what's available, hold the rest" and/or after-the-fact splits like absound.ca does. If this was implemented, I'd probably send even more of my business 800's way... SteveA, are you listening?

Steve,
When is 800.com planning to ship internationally to places such as Singapore ?
We often discuss sites like 800.com in our local forum, and I can assure you that there are many DVD buyers from Singapore who are looking for better "value-for-money" sites than Amazon !

Great!
Why don't you just pull a "Walmart" and take the site off-line for four or five weeks while "remodeling"? Then again, maybe not... heh.
Can't wait to spend more $$$ at 800.com, as a matter of fact I'm headed that way right now... I have a coupon burning in my pocket.
