I got my copy of Gladiator on Sunday (as usual) from Buy.Com.
All of my pre-orders from Buy have come on Sunday. I don't know why. I saw Gladiator when it first came out only once so I was looking forward to watrching it again. What a great movie. It looks and sounds great. I only watched the deleted scenes on the 2nd disk but there's a lot of stuff there. Great job DreamWorks ! |

Who is delivering on Sundays? I'm curious.
I ordered Gladiator, Escape From New York & Chicken Run from Buy and I still don't have them http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/frown.gif |
Well, how was Gladiator on dvd? Does it lose
a lot of impact when you are watching it letterboxed at home? Don't get me wrong,I'm pro-widescreen,but big, epic films like this need to be seen at a theater for the best effect. Some guy from Entertaniment Weekly actually preferred the full screen version of this flick, and I was wondering if the letterboxed dvd was still watchable,at least on a 32 inch tv screen. |

It comes USPS.
I have a 35" screen and the letter-box version looks great. |
Its monday and my order status says "On Order" I have never recieved anything from Buy.com before the street date. This is really pissing me off.

Why does the post office deliver to you on Sundays???
|
Hey, you can't read the Topic header?
Clearly Maximus arrived at his house on Sunday with the DVD ! http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/biggrin.gif It's called Cadaver Express. [This message has been edited by HepDude (edited November 20, 2000).] |
I also would like to know how the Post Office delivers to you on Sunday.
The only way the post office delivers to me on Sunday is if I forget the check the mail on Saturday (or check it too early - they always show up later on Saturday then throughout the week)... |

Just remember, the "bigger the black bars" the more you miss in pan&scan. That EW guy is an idiot, IMO. ------------------ "Hit me again Ike, and this time put some STANK on it." |
Maybe they deliver on Sundays to keep up with the competition.
