Here is a CNN article on the postal rate increase planned for Jan. 2001.

http://www.cnn.com/2000/US/11/13/mai....03/index.html

Does this mean my When Harry Met Sally will be more expensive?

One pound priority mail is raising from $3.20 to $3.50. I'm sure really how this will affect vendors using USPS.

Comments?

At least the rate doesn't look like it will go postal as USPS really wanted.

You need to check the policy at each store. I believe if you have locked in the order and the shipping cost, they cannot change it...

Amazon and express.com might find reasons to raise prices though :/

What I don't understand is why Amazon doesn't use USPS or Fedex. I remember a friend of mine who works for a primary distributor says shipping packages via either company costs nothing. Eg he shipped me a PC case (50 pounds) overnight for $3.20. Which is easily cheaper than USPS.
