Thanks for the feedback and it is good too know eBay is not refunding all separate tax transactions since they are in charge of collecting
the tax part of the sale. Maybe because the item was never sent and not return might have caused no tax refund for my sale.
Maybe I'll take back calling them thief but their 3rd world customer service is still horrible.

Just think of all the brick and morters who basically died over the last 2 decades because Ebay and Amazon and other Etail off the bat had an 8-10% pricepoint advantage via no salex tax in an industry where profit margins are very thin. By the time Eretailer's lost said advantage they already had consumers hooked by being a more convenient option

You said it "more convenient option". I never found a brick-and-mortar to have the selection available. Yes, there were "superstores" that had massive inventories but those were few and far between. Now I can go to eBay or Amazon (or Newegg and B&H possibly) and search for computer components and be overwhelmed with matches. I think there win is finding stuff I didn't know I even needed and pressing the buy button.

I think that news is 5 years old.

Of course CA will find anything anywhere to get more sales tax money out of you.
