Best Buy is closing all 250 of its mobile stores in the US

Just heard about this yesterday.Maybe A money saving move.
Best Buy did real good in sales around Christmas and last year.

I'm not really into the latest and greatest smart phone.I buy all my families smartphones online along with the plans. Slickdeals always post some good phone deals.

Best Buy has announced it will shut all 250 of its small mobile stores across the US by May 31st. The stores reportedly contributed only a little over 1 percent to the company’s overall revenue. The closures won’t affect Best Buy’s mobile stores in Canada, and the company will continue to sell mobile phones both online and in its “big-box” stores.

That's too bad. These mobile stores were great for checking out the latest phones in person before going home and ordering for much cheaper online.

Aren't all Best Buys essentially mobile phone stores now?

Well, that's one more empty store in a local mall to me. I've never been into the specific Mobile Store but still hate to see the vacancy. Luckily the specific mall seems to be doing OK (I guess) but lost a Macy's and have a number of empty store fronts already. Sign of the times I know but still............
