Argg!

I recently got a defective copy of Criterion's "The Bank Dick" from 800.com. I went to their contact page and found "live chat". So I chatted about my situation with a virtual CSR and he told me to call their 800 number - lots of help. So I call the 800 number. Naturally I get put on hold after surfing the "menu-tree" but after about 5 minutes they take you off hold and send you to an answering machine. So I leave a message but they won't return my call. I call again after the weekend and leave another message, as again they don't pick up, but they still won't return my call. Has anyone returned anything to this outfit yet? What's the trick???

Coco,

Look at the receipt/packing slip that came in the box with the dvd. It should have a pre-printed return label with an RMA number and instructions for returning/exchanging.

The box, DVD, and packing slip are at work but I'll look at it again tomorrow as I have seen these before on other packing slips. Thing is I have this recollection of looking this slip over and seeing only a number to call but no return label. I hope you are right or I'll have to rig the phone up for auto-redial on answering machine or something;o) Thanks!

coconinocat -- contact me by email with a phone number where you can be reached and I'll make sure to have a customer service person call you.

Thanks Steve! I got your email right after I sent mine off and a short time later a very friendly CSR helped me to replace the DVD. Overall a very satisfactory resolution - keep up the good work.
