Nope it's done on an individual basis. You should just search for what you're looking for and the comments will usually tell you if it's new/sealed/used etc.

I got a sealed copy of Being John Malkovich for $12.50 from them (before new customer coupons). Definitely worth it, though they come and go fast.

Half.com has turned funny since Ebay took it over.

Now it's "chargewhateveryouwant.com". You'll commonly see jokers trying to sell a used item at close to or above MSRP.

I highly recommend everyone send emails suggesting nicely they go back to the mandatory half msrp model.

half.com is a crapshoot when it comes to quality. If the item has a comment "sealed" then that can be useful, but I have purchased several "like new" items that had writing on them (2 books), had the proof of purchase snipped, or some other problem. I just assume that "like new" is meaningless. I did order "The Red Violin" from one gkleinman a few months back! Thanks!

Another half.com joke is their "satisfaction guarantee" which is only good for 3 purchases. I've purchased about 10 items or so from them and about 1/2 have had some minor or major issue, so their guarantee is pretty useless if you buy from them regularly, because over time, you will get many crummy items that are overrated.

Also their support sucks. If you need a human being, forget it.

Why don't you go to their website and find out? I love these no brainer questions.

i like the new pricing mode. it lets you sell many things such as hard to find or OOP items for a certain price. if they dont sell, you just lower the price. also, if they are not under half price, they are not featured on the site as easily, so it makes it less likely they will sell unless it is a highly sought item.
