Does anyone know how long (approx) it usually takes to get a reply from Amazon.com customer service.
I wrote a short E-mail to Amazon (to [email protected], I think) on Thursday morning - incidentally about the price 'testing' - and I still haven't received a reply. I was expecting some sort of generic/automated response to my query, but as yet I've heard nothing.

General order and price emails take usually only around 2 days for me. A question on that ever so sneaky price testing may require the csr that owns your email service ticket to think for once in their life so it might take them a while to come up with a good story

Ah! I was forgetting about the thinking thing. Mind you, I don't think I was thinking when I wrote the E-mail to 'em - I was asking if we could reach a price compromise
I'll let you know if it worked.Foxy (not expecting anything)

I sent them a question 2 days ago
and have not gotten a reply yet. I usually
give these sites 3 or 4 days. All I asked
was a question about an existing order.
If I canceled it, would I get the GC
back.

It took them 10 days to actually reply to me. I had written to them two days after my order was supposed to have shipped complaining why my order hasn't shipped yet. Well I got an email from them 3 days after that saying that my order has shipped. Stupid as I am, I thought they had replied to my email when in reality is was just an automated email indicating my order has indeed shipped. I finally got a reply to that 5 more days later, apologizing, stuff like that.

If you cancel an order w/ gc's, the gc's will go back into your gc account.
