Has anyone tried getting buy.com to replace their defective Leon DVD (which had super-low sounding rears in the DD 5.1 audio track)? If successful, what did you do?

Just call them up, tell them the problem, and they'll send you a UPS shipping thingy. When the new ones get in, they'll send you one.

Well, I sent them e-mail and they sent me a canned response about replacing defective DVDs. They totally ignored my entire email about the entire run being defective and Columbia doing a reissue. Note that their replacement policy is only good for 30 days, which if you pre-ordered Leon and got it on time, was up several days ago.
I've no doubt if you get lucky and get a CSR with a brain, you might be able to get this taken care of. I think I'm at least going to wait until the reissue is available since the 30 days is up anyway. This is one case I wish I would have bought it from someone else. |

They initially did this, and then reneged and said that I would have to purchase another one. I'm returning it and then buying one from Scamazon using the $5.00 GC. |
