Hmm...this could be a coincidence, but I'd like other people's feedback:
I received an order from DVD Empire today containing both "Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein" and "American Psycho". Both discs are Universal releases, but they were unlike any Universal disc I have seen before.
Whereas most DVD cases have a sticker along the top edge of the keepcase (usually with the title and UPC of the disc), these both had three seals -- one on top, one on the bottom, and one on the side. Also, the keepcases themselves were some sort of el cheapo pieces of crap with a jewel case style hub.
Were all copies of these discs released in the crappy cases with seals on all three sides? If so, then Universal needs to have higher standards, because the cases are horrible.

I had this same experience; I landed up badly stretching the bottom part of the plastic protective cover on Erin Brockovich as a result. That said, however, anyone who has ever had to drive back to the store the same day they bought a DVD because some shmuck shoplifted the disc from inside will understand why it's a good idea.
