I used a $20 off $100 electronics gift certificate and a $50 non-promotional gc on an order I placed. I was able to check out without any problems and got an e-mail confirmation for the order. Then I got a shipping notice a few days later which said that the $20 gc was not used. I called cs and got an e-mail response later saying that the $20 gc could not be applied because the $50 gc I used brought the order total below $100. Is this really how their promotional gcs with purchase minimums work? I don't see anywhere that says a non-promotional gc will affect the eligibility of using a promo gc. Also, is it legal for them to change the order total and ship the order without notifying me of the price change?

I don't think so! You could try calling them up again (and hope a smarter CSR takes your call ), or wait for Mr. CNET to e-mail you

no they can not change the terms of the order without you agreeing to it. call back and let them know you need help fixing a mistake. if they do not help you then start going up the chain of command. feel free to post if they are not helpful with names of who was not helpful and maybe a few of us can call or email expressing our concern also at the slight given to a fellow Dvdtalk member!
