BN.com has given me one terrible experience after another, and today was easily the most frustrating one yet.
In the Fall of last year, I ordered a copy of the SPR DVD for my dad's birthday. I ordered the title one and a half weeks before the b-day, so there was plenty of time to process the order an ship it. I didn't even get an order confirmation until three days after I placed it. Then it took them several more days to process it, and then it had to be delivered to my house. In the end, the movie was several days late thanks to the bozos at BN.com when it should have been several days early. But that incident is minor compared to the one I'm dealing with right now.
After the experience that I went through in the Fall, I was hesitant to place another order with my friends at BN.com. Since I had $20 in Flooz and BN.com had a $10 off $30 coupon, I went for it. So, on August 1st, I blindly pre-ordered T2:UE from them. Surprisingly, it didn't take too long for an order confirmation to arrive in my e-mail box, so I at least had a remote sense of confidence in them.
Now we fast-forward to August 30th, one full day after the official release date for T2:UE. I still haven't recieved a shipping confirmation from them, yet their site says that the DVD ships in 24 hours. Therefore, they probably have the title in stock, don't you think? So I sent them an e-mail inquiring about my order, because the order info screen still said that the order was "In Process".
Early this morning I recieved an e-mail from [email protected] saying that my order had shipped this morning. That made me mad, but I was partially relieved that my package was on the way. Later in the afternoon, I recieved another e-mail from [email protected] saying that my order was shipped on Aug 28th via UPS 3-day select, which was an all-out lie. I checked my tracking information several minutes ago, and the status was "Pickup Manifest", which means that the order was recently picked up by UPS but they haven't done anything with it yet. My impression is that my order was supposed to be shipped on the 28th in 3-day mode, but they forgot about it and my e-mail reminded them to ship my package.
Unless BN.com has an uber-sweet deal, I will never shop from them again, and I recommend that you do the same, unless you don't mind poor customer support and you enjoy having your packages arriving a week late.

I think you'rs might be an isolated incident. I have ordered several DVDs, books and CDs from them and have never had a problem.
