Just curious, because my status is still "item not yet shipped", and usually by now, it is at least processing.

They usually ship on release date, although on occasion they have been known to ship the day before.

What‘s the betting it’s not even on, but after the release date that they ship. Should call them "post-orders" instead.

Actually, the rules are that a company can ship items early in expectations that they arrive on the release date. I received Magnolia from Buy.com yesterday, and should get Sound of Music, and Braveheart from Express on Monday. I am not complaining, because I also used a g.c. to get T-2 for $12 shipped, but it seems to me that a pre-order is to receive an item ON the release date, and not the next day, or a week later. I have received a couple of DVD's from Amazon on the release date before, and as I stated, my account usually reflects that it is at least processing by now, so I was just curious as to why T-2 hasn't. Perhaps they have run out of their initial inventory due to the backlog for this title. I just wanted to know if anybody had received shipping notices, or even if theirs are processing.

My order states 1 on hand, not shipped. I believe this is Amazon's terminology for "Processing - Ready to Ship".
I expect shipment notification on Monday or Tuesday.
Edit: Just received shipment notification. It's amazing how happy I get from a simple shipment notification.... I must find something else to do.... NOT!

NO, I have never pre-ordered anything from them before, and I guess this is the last time too.

The status for all the DVDs I ordered which are released on 29/8 has shown that I have 1 on hand since 3 days ago. These include T2, Magnolia, Stand By Me:SE, Evil Dead 2 and Braveheart. However, the items have not been shipped. I think Amazon is just preparing to ship all of them at the same time to minimize cost. So far, my orders have always been shipped a day earlier than the release date.

I too have T2: Ultimate Edition on order from Amazon.com.
I haven't received shipping confirmation yet, either, and it's the only release that I have coming from Amazon this week, so I know that they're not waiting for other discs with which to fill my order.
Meanwhile, I got my Magnolia disc from buy.com on Saturday.
Bastards (amazon, not buy).

I hope Big Kahuna isn't the disc that holds
back my order at amazon. Everything else
was showing 1 on hand, when I went to go
cancel something from my order, but Big
Kahuna didn't say that....ARGH!

Nothing yet on T2:ue and Braveheart.
AND it takes a week-9 days to arrive with me.
Guess my preorders will have to be placed somewhere else in future. Still, got to remember that it's just DVDs.

My T2 and Braveheart have shown 'shipping soon' for 24 hours now since i cancelled a cd that should have shipped with it but is still not available 5 weeks after i ordered it when it showed 1-2 week availability.
Amazon really should get their act together.

My T2 was shipped yesterday. Hopefully it will show up in the next couple of days, and hopefully it will be the 2 disc version.
