I ran a search to see if this question had been previously answered but didn't find anything definitive. It is a simple question.

Will buy.com pricematch on orders where I use a coupon? If so, any restrictions as to whether or not the final results after the pricematch still have to fulfill the obligations of the coupon used?

For example - I want to order a boxset at buy.com and pricematch it against another online store's price. Its price at buy.com is $40.00 so I use a $10 off $30 coupon. The item cost $29.95 at the other store.

What would the results be of this attempt at a pricematch? Would the results be different if the pricematch was for a price greater than $30 instead $29.95?

No. Got screwed this week when I attempted to do this. I abruptly cancelled with a CSR, who wanted to argue with me. I simply responded that I saw no mention of denial of price match when using a coupon, although I did not look through every corner of their website.

Try to pricematch Ultimate Toy Box with $10 off $30 coupon and free shipping and it didn't work. I wasn't given a specific reason just a generic "no" e-mail. It was still a good deal though.

I just price matched Toy Story/Toy Story 2 2pk with a $10 off $30 coupon and got back a response that they will issue me a credit of $5.50.

I tried to use DVDEmpire to price match the mediocre U 571. Probably saved me from a dumb purchase.

The other little "secret" of Buy.com's price matching is that they will only price match if you make a request within 24 hours of placing your order.

Otherwise, forget it!

I tried 3 times and came up empty. I pricematched Utimate Toy Box within 24 hrs with the cheapest store on dvdpricesearch and was rejected. I sent them an e-mail for an explanation and they ignored it. Must be bad luck!
