Got a refund check for a transferred Reel order that was cancelled by Buy!

Imagine my surprise to get a check from Hollywood Video today. This must be for my one outstanding and fully paid Princess Mononoke order that got transferred and then later cancelled by Buy. I had been dealing with Buy exclusively for this refund and was expecting a gift certificate refund from Buy. I did give Buy's customer service all the details about the order including the codes for the $10 store credit and the gift certificate used in that order.
So there is hope out there for those who are still expecting a refund after all.

Did you contact Hollywood Video or did they do this of their own fruition?
I'm currently pursuing buy.com about a $50.01 GC I used on X-Files Season 2 Box Set, for which one of their CSR supervisors is supposed to be looking into it and emailing me back. That was this past Tuesday and still no email...

No, I didn't contact Hollywood Video at all. Buy.com must have done it. That was about 3 weeks ago though. I believe Buy now asks people to email Reel about their refund. A friend of mine did just that last week and hasn't gotten any response from Reel yet.
