So I guess I know where someone got my cc information to try and charge $1200 worth of merchandise from the apple store with.
Thank goodness Discover knew better and didn't let any of them through.
Definitely will give me pause about using anyone who partners with DataPak again.

I just received an e-mail stating that a credit card had been compromised. Two small charges, one for about $25 and the other for $41. Joke is on them though, as I had no available credit on that card. I'm pretty sure it is because of an order from WBShop placed earlier in the year.

Got a letter from DataPak 2 weeks ago claiming my card may have been breached way back in March. I figured it was a scam so I didn't follow up. Last Friday-Saturday-Sunday someone went crazy on my card, but Visa caught it and declined everything. I now have a new card coming in. What a pain in the ass!

No notice from DataPak for me but I did buy from the WB shop back in June or July. Nothing weird on my Discover but I did call them - they suggested wait and see.

I noticed someone had made an unauthorized charge for Match.com on Oct. 7 on my debit card for $137.94, but my bank had caught the charge and refunded me. But another charge, from Empire Cinemas in the UK, went through with $50.88. I went and promptly canceled the card.
I don't think I'll ever order from WB Shop again.

I had an unauthorized charge from Match.com a while back. And here I thought it was a Chinese Food restaurant I hadn't been to in a few years.

That's what I figured. I guess because it was only a $50 charge, it didn't send up a red flag. Was the charge for a merchant or movie theater? For what it is worth, my card is through Chase and they are right on top of those things. This has to be a major operation that orchestrated this heist.

I've placed many an order with WBShop over the years without issue...and usually at a big discount over other retailers.
Can I just say that before you write off the WBShop...I've had my credit card stolen from Amazon and Best Buy in the past too...these things unfortunately happen.

Bumping this because I just had to close a credit card account due to a fraudulent charge appearing. I can't say for sure where it got hacked, but it is the one I used at WBShop during the exposed period. I have read that sometimes stolen numbers aren't used for a while, so just an FYI to keep an eye out.

Companies know admitting to these failures can destroy their business, so they keep it as hush-hush as possible. No one much liked WBShop to begin with, I know I reconsider every time now I ever think of using them.
