I've also heard the reel gc's were expiring tonight (here at dvdtalk). A few weeks ago I asked a buy.com csr and she said do not worry about the gc's expiring. Anyhow, since then, the credits became valid and I now have $96 credit in the account

I was told the same thing by a CSR several weeks ago. Since my codes weren't in the buy.com system yet, she told me not to worry.
Well, guess what, folks?
I just tried to place my Reel.com GCs/SCs in my buy.com account. Although the GCs went through, the Reel Trivia SC came back with the message "This gift certificate expired on 8/13/2000"!
I have sent a very unhappy email to buy.com, demanding a replacement $10 code for the one they gypped me out of. We'll see what happens.

You should have read the refund message you got a while back more carefully. There you could have read that your refunded coupons would expire a few months down the road.

I did read the refund message -- which is why I specifically asked the CSR about the expiration date.
Maybe you should have read my post more carefully.
