Amazon 3rd Party Shipping Charges will Increase on April 24th
My apologies if this has already been posted elsewhere...
Starting April 24th, when you buy from an Amazon marketplace seller, the shipping charges on Blu-rays, DVDs, and CDs will be $3.99 instead of the current $2.98
Just a heads-up for those currently on-the-fence about making a marketplace purchase...

Does this mean eBay will follow suit shortly with their maximum shipping charges?

One can only hope (as a seller). They haven't raised the maximum in the past 5 years since they've implemented it, despite an increase in First Class and Media Mail rates of 15-30% in that time, and eBay adding on Final Value Fees to the shipping cost in 2011, an effective increase of an additional 10% on the shipping cost. An increase to at least $3.49 would not be unreasonable.

I usually just email the seller first and ask, then they'll refund me some of the amount.
