I really didn't know where to put this, but does Best Buy hold a charge pending on your credit card? Meaning if it's a preorder not scheduled to be ready for weeks or months, do they hold that charge? They do for me and it's annoying. Why would that keep that charge pending for weeks and not usable?

They might authorize the card for amount but they don't do a hold. Never have for me.

They couldn't hold a charge. That's not the way it works. An authorization will automatically fall off your card if it's not captured within a couple days. Now, they could do a NEW authorization every few days, but those would show up as different transactions.
