The way I understood it was that there was the basic plan, then elite and then elite plus? The Elite get 30 days, elite plus get 45 days. There's a little video that they posted/sent to email that briefly discusses the plan. Here. So yeah, looks like they're cutting back returns for the top level rewards holders as well if they had 60 days at one point to return stuff.

My Elite Plus was not extended beyond the current Feb. 2014 end date (when my Premier Silver would have expired, because I haven't spent $2500 yet this year.)
It was increased to 60 days last year. Back to 45 days now for Elite Plus.

True, it just seems like they are dwindling he benefits...
Fortunately, they just switched us from the store card to a Visa. So Elite Plus will be easier to achieve. All we gotta do is use the daylights out of it for normal everyday spending (paying it off right away of course).. But in the meantime (post 8-28), we will lose our point growth potential..

Qualifying items display a "Free 2-Day Shipping on Orders $35 and Up" message. Movies, music, pre-owned games, special order, scheduled delivery and other select items do not qualify. The $35 order total is after coupons and taxes, and does not include select digital downloads, e-gift cards, special orders, scheduled delivery items, and any items canceled or removed from the order.

I'll stick with RZ for at least next year since I've spent just about $1500 with them this year. If the get rid of the free shipping though I'm out.
As it stands they ship faster than Amazon so I still go with them for any weekly releases.

I usually only purchase from Besy Buy when...
- Items are less expensive than Amazon (which is usually not the case)
- There are exclusives that I really want (which happens rarely)
- I have a RZ coupon to use (which doesn't appear that will happen much anymore
)

Yeah, if I was undecided between a Best Buy exclusive and a Target exclusive, the RZ points would often sway me towards BB but now we hardly ever go there for anything.

I was there this weekend to pick up an external hard drive that was on sale.
OMG, the media section is terrible now. Its only a few rows, all the movies are crammed in with the price cards that are cheap and thin and everything keeps falling all over the place. If what you are looking for isn't in one of the top rows or right in front of the stack, forget it.

How are Best Buy's shipping services? Anybody used them for blu-ray or DVD orders? I'm considering ordering a few movies from them online, items they likely do not have in store and am curious to know how their quality control re shipping is.

I ordered two steel books from them back in August and they used USPS' first class packaging service; arrived in 1 and a half days and with no dents. 
On other occasions, I ordered some other items that weren't movies, and they used that stupid UPS SurePost service.
