I am still waiting on a few orders from October and have called them at least 7 times in the last few weeks and nobody ever picks up , i've stayed on hold for almost 1.5 hours once and nothing.

What is up with Deep Discount? Are they getting ready to go out of business or something? I'd have ordered more but I doubt any new orders would get here before Christmas.

They just did away with their no minumum free shipping. Now only a purchase of $15 or more qualifies. I'd been expecting them to go that route for a while now, but it still sucks considering their prices are higher than ever.

Well, then, they'd better start the damned shipping a little bit more often (and regularly) if they're going to be charging for it in any way.

If I pay for a service (shipping charges), I do not want to get...serviced, if you get my meaning.

I have 4 TV box sets that were ordered on Nov 6, 2010. I haven't received them yet. I called DD 3 times in 3 weeks and the CS rep said each time that they were just mailed and I'll get them in @ 6 days. I called again tonight and the CS rep indicated that they weren't shipped because they weren't even processed yet. She apologized for the other 3 CS reps lieing to me and took my home phone number and said her supervisor would definitely call me tonight. No supervisor called me. I tried to cancel my order from DD and to buy them from Amazon, but DD said they were being shipped, so I can't cancel the order. Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh. The only thing I can do now after talking to those idiots, is to order these 4 TV box sets from Amazon and if the DD order shows up in the next 20 years, I'll return them. What a bunch of bone heads....

Anyone else notice that they've jacked up a lot of prices in the past few days? I mean on top of what they jacked them up to for the 25% off sale last month?

I was looking at my wish list and about half of the things on it have gone up significantly.

^Yes, and it's not just been within the past few days. I checked right after the sale to see if prices would drop/be different with the new owners. They did not drop but went up on almost all my wish list items - most are 10-25% higher! They've also dropped free shipping unless the order is $15 or higher but this was not alltogether unexpected. This means I'll order even less from DD than in the past. I'd order CDs from them as I could pick up one at a time without visiting the stores. Looks like that's out and it's a larger order to qualify for free shipping. Larger orders always make me think about it more so I'll be doing far fewer small impulse purchases.

DeepDiscount is basically just a front now for ImportCDs.com, the international media distributor. I assume the service will be much more reliable going forward, but I would expect overall discounts to decrease.
