I can't stay logged in long enough to order anything, and my cart keeps going empty. What the heck? Shoot the developers, and whoever signed off on going live with this junk.

Maybe they are doing this to send business to their sister site dvdplanet. The previously wonky Dvdplanet site is looking like a masterpiece compared to this crackerbox.

Thumbs down to the new site. A couple of years ago, I would order from them quite a bit. Now it's just an occasional order here and there.

Why is DD having such a difficult time making this transition? For days, the site has either been down or barely functional. They've got to be losing a ton of business.

I'd be happy if they'd get it together now... I'm looking at picking up a couple of the A&E titles, but *NOT* while they're having this much trouble... and the sale on those titles goes off the 31st.

And... still problems. Now the "deals" don't show up on the "deals" page... unless you count the links in a frame on the left side. At least the stuff i've put in my cart is still there even though my wishlist is still in limbo somewhere... (glad I have a printed copy).

I havent been able to check out for three straight days. I'm glad I bought what I wanted in the fox sale. That ends soon. Deepdiscount should go back to the other site until they fix this one. This is ridiculous to be have a site that refuses to let one check out.

i agree with all the issues. i guess dd really is a small guy in terms of resources. thats how im justifying this situation to myself at least.

otoh, i recall when borders revamped their site and it was weeks before glitches would allow a proper order to be placed. so im still hopeful dd will do okay.

I can now get to the site, but the DVDs I wanted to buy last week aren't on the site anymore (the new Rifftrax releases).

Mine hasn't. I did add some new items to it but the items that were there before have still not shown up. I will wait till the weekend and if they are still missing I will jast re-add them. I didn't have that many so it's no big deal.

OK... if you're looking for titles *not* returned by using the "normal" search (the one at the top that now clear when you click in the box) *DON'T*! Use the search box on the left hand side. The one that shows you what you searched for but doesn't clear when you want to edit your search. It will return results, albeit it'll be *everything*, but you will find those titles you're searching for. To use "Bewitched" as an example, searching using the "top" search gets you 5 results. If you use the one to the left you'll get lots of non-DVD results (27 pages worth) *but* you'll also get all the seasons. Something you'll not get with the "top" search.

So... use the "top" search to get *NO* results and then click on the "search" on the left side of the screen (your search term will already be there) and you'll get results.

Oh... wait... I just discovered that if you do *NOT* chose to search on a specific media (you know... DVDs anyone?) you'll also get those full results along with the few DVD ones you really are after.

Come on DD! You really need to get someone working on fixing all the screw ups!!!

I like that they finally offer Google Checkout and Paypal for payment options. Can finally avoid those post-order "congratulations!" ads that nearly blow out my speaker each time.

I can not place an order...get caught in a loop and asked to sign in.... never get to the page for payment info!

I wanted to buy some of those Criterion's on sale, but....

edit: FINALLY got my order through, but it took way too many tries and was frustrating.

I was finally able to order. I previously was trying to use bill me later which still doesnt work. I used a credit card and got it to work.

I gave up trying to log in and can't get to my wishlist so I just made a few big orders with DVD Planet. Seems like the new site doesn't like older computers so I will find a more older computer friendly website too do my ordering. They just lost 663 dollars of my business. True DVD Planet is owned by the same company but still this isn't a good way to be running a business. Didn't feel like ordering on the phone(I like to know if something is in stock before ordering it).

I just hope they fix their prices. They used to be quite competitive with Amazon, but I was looking at some Blu-rays on there today and HOLY CRAP!

I tried about a dozen times today to order something from them and couldn't get past "step 2" (of 6).

Since you can't order anything, I guess it doesn't matter what their prices are.

And my old wishlist still hasn't shown up.

I thought the old search function was lousy, but this newer one is far worse, almost worthless.
