Twice in the past 2 weeks (one movie each weekend) I've got a notice that Netflix was sending out a movie on Saturday. In the past, I'd never get movies sent out on weekends and I seem to remember that they had said they were stopping shipments (although I could be wrong on that). Is this something new that other people are experiencing too? It's good and bad. I somewhat liked not having shipments on weekends because movies that you returned on weekends, could be timed perfectly for that week's new releases.

From what I've read, they're trying to start up Saturday shipments. They've supposedly done it with several of their shipping centers. My stuff tends to ship out of Worcester, MA and as of yet, there hasn't been any Saturday movement.

I just discovered this as well. I dropped off a few movies over the last few weeks on Friday thinking they would be received on Monday for that Tuesday's new releases, then I was surprised to get the e-mails on Saturday saying they have been received.

Yeah it is good and depending on how fast you want to get the latest new release.

I've never understood why they didn't have shipping on Sat. to begin with. Hope this becomes the norm everywhere.

I guess it depends on where your local shipping plant is. The local one here only ships Mon-Friday.

which is what they had been doing for years. then all of the sudden it changed. not that i'm complaining, but it makes me have to adjust my mailings to get in for new release tuesday.

Netflix shipped a DVD to me today. A friend had one ship, too.

The last two weeks they shipped out discs to me, but today, nothing. I wonder if they were having a test run. I'm in Cleveland.

I'm in Cleveland, too, and this is the first Saturday I've got shipping notices.

I've noticed that too here in NC. My nearest shipping plant is only 20 miles from here and over he past month or so I've had a couple ship on Saturdays. At first I thought it was a one-off, buit isn't.

Now it just depends on what is out the following week as to when I return them.

Denver seems to be shipping on Saturdays.
