selling used vinyl at Hastings or Vintage Stock

has anyone here had experience selling used vinyl to Hastings or Vintage Stock? i have a bunch of my dad's old records from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and i was thinking of taking them there. judging by ebay prices, vinyl doesn't seem to amount to much - but generally how much do these resale entertainment shops shell out per vinyl?

I'd tryputting them on ebay or Amazon. A used place might offer you a dime for an old David Bowie record that someone on Amazon is willing to pay $8 for.

PM me a list of some of the stuff you have, I buy a lot of used vinyl for my personal collection

Depending on the titles and their condition you could get some decent Ebay money, vinyl is selling well at the moment.

Selling to a used store they'll probably give you about 25 cents a record.

If there's a place by you that deals in collectable records go there first and let them pick through them. When I dumped mine in '92 I had 8 Peaches crates full, about 1200. Took them to a record collectors store. I remember having to park two blocks away and carry them. Must have been 70-80 lbs. each. Anyway, they gave me $600 for about 20 of them, had to carry all the rest back to the car. Later my folks had a garage sale and I put all the crates out on the drive-way for $1.00 each. This gal came by and bought Bryan Adams "Cuts Like A Knife". About 30 minutes later she was back with her husband and they offered me $500 for all of them, I took it.

Re: selling used vinyl at Hastings or Vintage Stock

It sounds like vinyl is still an item. My Dad is dumping about 8 crates of 78's on me for me to record digitally, and sell. Some I probably won't touch, because they've never been played. I'll have to find a buyer on the internet. I called around to shops locally that take vinyl, and they have no interest in 78's.
