Secondspin.com has excellent customer service!
I recently ordered a 2-disc dvd from them, and when I received it in the mail I went to open it and it was missing disc 1. I e-mailed them about it, and without question they credited me back what I paid for it and I didn't even have to send it back. Anyone else have this great of an experience with them?

I have always been very pleased with Second Spin's customer service. Unfortunately, its prices have risen too much in recent years (for $7.99 you can practically buy a new CD in some cases), and its international shipping fees are no longer reasonable. At this point, I would only purchase CDs from Second Spin if I had at least half a dozen in mind.

The shipping fees are expensive for international, but that's why I wait for the 20% off and free shipping deal. Gotta give them credit for including international shipping for free.
I also have nothing but good things to say about their customer service. Although I've only had a problem twice in dozens of orders, they were top notch with resolving it both times.

The only drawback is that shipping to Canada takes about a month. For some reason, the packages go through Sweden on their way to Canada...

Thanks for the info. Is there any way to sign up for email alerts about sales, or does one just have to check the website every once in a while?
As for the shipping, Second Spin shipments have always taken 3-6 weeks to reach me. That's inexcusable when one's paying $10-15, but for free I don't mind.

You're welcome.
Just keep an eye on the DVD Bargains forum. Someone usually starts a thread (or bumps an old thread) with a title of "SecondSpin.com 20% off and Free Shipping" like this current thread: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-bargain...o-minimum.html
Oh, and I am on some kind of mailing list for secondspin, so I do get notice. Although, sometimes this code doesn't come to me in an e-mail, but still shows up here, so it's probably best to watch for the thread. If you log in and edit your account, you'll see an option with a tick box to "receive special offers by e-mail"
FWIW, there is currently a 10% off and free shipping on all orders over $75. The problem with those is that you may end up with an order that gets tagged for customs fees/taxes, since it's over the $20 minimum for Canada Customs. With the 20% and free shipping sales, there is no minimum order, so you can order things separately to stay within the limits.

Thanks for filling me in, andicus. I don't normally go into DVD Bargains.
