A Question About Best Buy's Replacement Plans

I have a 2 year replacement plan on my PS3, I need to use it because my PS3 is giving me problems when I watch DVDs or Blu-Rays (white & red lines flashing on the screen).

My question is, it says you have to physcially send it back yourself, has anyone ever been able to take it back to Best Buy and have it taken care of there, or do they simply tell you that you HAVE to send it back yourself? A PS3 is such an expensive and heavy item I don't really want to send it through the mail.

take it to the store, go to the customer service desk, tell them what is happening, they will either take it and send it in, or they will replace it on the spot.
