OMG! NetFlix took my advice!

Okay so I wasen't sure whether to post this here, or to post it in the DVD Club section, but anyhow... I just noticed today that NetFlix now has up trailers for movies! I'd emailed them a few weeks ago and suggested that they include each movie's trailer on its summary page, b/c as a consumer it helps me decide whether or not I'd be interested in the movie. And...I dunno how long they've been up for but I just noticed all the trailers today. I know, I'm sure it wasen't all due to one person's suggestion but I still think I made a little bit of a difference.

You should email them back and tell them they owe you royalties for implementing your suggestion.

Yep, they have had them for years... they even came out with customized trailers (a separate Previews section that shows trailers of movies they think you will like) in 2006.

So the OP suggested they do something they'd already been doing for years... and they did it! Good job Netflix!

What email address did you use? As far as I know, they have no public email addresses, and [email protected], for example, goes bouncey bouncey.

I just used the customer service link, if I remember correctly. oh and I don't know how long NetFlix has been around, but... I haden't seen the trailers on each movie page (but then again I'm blind), so I'm glad they put it as a big link by the movie summaries. It helps.

I can't help but think you're lying.

Since you very specifically stated that you emailed them, and now you've used a link. I wonder, did you contact them at all, or did you "notice something new" and attempt to take credit for it, when no credit should be given?

And if you'd lie about something as simple as this, what else would you lie about?

I guess NetFlix was also advised to raise the price of their Blu-ray rentals.

I want to thank whomever suggested that.

^That would be me....
I would love to thank NEtflix from the bottom of my heart for charging people who rent Blu-ray more...If you Blu-ray People really think Blu-ray is so much better you shouldn't have a problem paying more since the quality is sooooo much better or whatever.
ALso I expect my Netflix service to get better and stock more DVD titles now..
Great news and once again I am ever so happy they are incresing the monthly charge for BLu-supporters.

Can you use your powers of persuasion to convince Netlfix to stop posting the reviews from people that are comprised solely of "This movie isn't for children" or any derivations thereof?

If you give the OP until 2010 he'll get this addressed also!
