Best Buy Return/Price Match Question

On Monday I purchased a TV from Best Buy for $1069.

I noticed in the ad for next week that the TV will be on sale for $999 or a bit less, I don't remember the exact amount.

I also got a 10% off coupon today. Will I be able to price match the $999 and get the 10% off, or will they make me jump through hooops by returning it and then re-purchasing it with the 10% off coupon.

Thanks for the help!

It'll probably depend on the CS Manager that helps you. They should be able to do it, but they can just easily say they can't do both or can only do one or the other or some junk.

Pricematch first.

Then pretend to look at something on the counter.

Wait for manager to leave.

Put down item you were looking at. Then whip out your 10% coupon.

Nope. They won't allow you to use a coupon for an on sale item. Read the fine print. You can get the price match, and get the difference back, but if they follow their own policy they won't take the coupon.

Deftones is right, but it is a huge YMMV. I often get them to take the 10/12% off of sale items, but it just depends on the cashier/manager.

But combining a pricematch with a coupon would definitely be rare, I would not expect it to happen.

But since it is almost $100, I would try the following. Try to buy it again at the new price using the coupon. If they take the coupon, buy it and return the first (or even the new one you just bought that moment using your original receipt). If they don't take the coupon, just don't buy it again and settle for the pricematch.
