It is one of those sites that, for a yearly fee, promises things like shipping rebates, price protection, coupons, etc.

Probably at least half way scammy, but before I researched it more, I figured at least one of us here either already has done the homework, or has joined.

i joined it for the 2 rebates which you could get if you had already bought the items then joined later. They took a long time to process the rebate but i got them both eventually. I cancelled my membership becuase the price didn't justify the rebate for me they refunded my a pro-rated membership fee. Site looks scummy but all in all, they kept their promise during my short membership period
