On Returning DVDs to Circuit City
I was just wondering, 'cause I returned a movie this afternoon. It was completely sealed and showed totally no sign of use. The person who attended to me completely tore up the plastic and checked the disc if it was inside. Do they always do that? They could practically just put back what I returned on their shelves.
EDIT: Never mind, I read the issue of getting a sealed DVD without the disc inside from another thread. Must be why they're opening it.

I've seen this before, and I dont understand it. THe item is sealed. I assume it looks like it is still the factory shrinkwrap and not some homemade reseal job. Why unseal, so you cant sell it, just to make sure there is a dvd inside? Why not just put it on the shelf, and either sell it again, or return it to the manufacturer sealed for credit? either way youre getting money for it. If theres no disc in it either the next buyer will return it opened, or the manufacturer will be stuck with it.
