Here. For a mere $200 more you get your precious TV and the ability to spend Thanksgiving with friends and family, as well as get your dignity back. Sounds like a bargain to me.

Amen to that.

I like standing in line for those things (think tailgate party without the alcohol). Not sure I'd do it for 30 hours though. I'm getting in line a BB at 3 or so, but I live in a colder climate and lines don't form as early here.

Longest I've waited to buy something is the annual library booksale, it opens at 10:00 and I usually get there at 0830 or 0900. At that I'm still 50th or so in line, and by 1000 there are a couple hundred people behind me. The section I'm interested in is usually cleaned out by 1100. Not to sound condescending, but 30 hours of my time is worth more than a couple hundred bucks, especially if there's no guarantee I would get the thing.

Also, did you check to make sure they have 'em in-stock? Out of 4 CCs here, only one store showed it in-stock.

I was at BB last year, but it's near Circuit City in Eugene. Around midnight or 1, a bunch of people from CC came over to our line try to sell their vouchers, so at least in that case, the vouchers were given out pretty early.
Edit (Early for CC. At BB they were handed out around 3 or 4 am.)

I actually like reading these types of threads. It makes what little temptation that I might have fly right out the window.

Just thought of a great money-making idea! Next year, I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner and bringing it to the various retail stores and selling to-go plates to customers in line...perhaps come back at midnight with some hot cocoa for sale...cha-ching!
