I had a sell order that was getting ready to be boxed for shipping to SecondSpin.com from their 20% bonus weekend. So I decided to compare their quotes with DVDPlanet, although the big advantage is SS let's you select a check as payment.
DVDP had higher quotes on nearly 2/3 of my titles, with SS doing better on 1/3. I broke up my order and sold the titles to the higher offer and in some cases titles that only SS was willing to buy. On those titles that DVDP was offering more, the difference was +50%, however they don't repay Media Mail costs.

They received my used order on 4/30 and I had the credit email in my Inbox early this morning. A 7-day turnaround with no rejections is amazing. I like the new streamlined process (or whatever they've done to process these orders so quickly).

Now bring on the June 20% off BD Criterions, I plan to buy them all!

If you're talking about the upcoming Blue Ray releases be prepared to wait until October when the rollout begins.

Too much excitement in one night ....completely forgot about about the target release timeframe of October. It's morning now and thinking clearly. Bring on the hopeful 'November' sale (not that I won't spend all of my store credit in June ).

So is there no longer an easy way to check their inventory of used titles? I don't see a separate list of them like there was previously.

C'mon DVDPlanet, let's see those new Blu-Rays...Face/Off, Cloverfield....and how about Gattaca and Ocean's Eleven? Are they not carrying these for some reason?

They're still pretty slow at updating pre-orders on Blu-ray. I'm pretty sure they will show up before release date.

Do they have a street address to send it to? I prefer to send it by UPS.

Thanks!

Yes, I do the same. Just sent a shipment in a month ago so it's still current.

My latest order/credit/quote went through this morning, but something is a bit odd. While the final total credited to me is right, in the email just sent to me the prices out beside certain titles are less than what was quoted when I placed the quote.

Again, the final credit total given to me is right; it's just the prices next to the items that is off. I’ve even checked the current totals for these items on the QM right now, and they’re still sitting at what they were when I placed this latest quote, so who knows. Maybe it's just an error, or a sign of the price changes to come, I'm not sure. I just thought I'd mention it and see what you guys thought about it.

I sent out my 3rd and 4th Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes last week Thursday. That was a total of 40 dvds. They received them on Monday. Still waiting to be credited. If they accept everything I should be close to $675 in credit.

I mailed $100 in titles on 07/01/08, they received on 07/11/08, received an e-mail with my full credit applied on 07/16/08. Good experience for me.

I sent another batch that arrived via DHL yesterday. Hopefully I'll receive my credit next week. Not sure why I'm anxious. I'm slowing transitioning to blu-ray and there's nothing that is really making me want to jump on it right now.

Has anyone been experiencing a slow turn-around time on the quote machine lately? I sent in a box on 7/22 and they recieved it 7/25. It's now 8/2 and still haven't heard anything...?

FIrst 2 boxes I sent in took 5 days for me to get credited after they received the boxes. The next 2 boxes took 4 days. I just sent in another box and it's been 3 days now. I have a 6th box that I will mail out on Monday.

I sent two boxes to them on 7/25, they received them on the 29th or so, and now I'm just waiting for my credit to show up. I'm fairly confident that I'll see it for both of them this week sometime, possibly Monday morning.

Just out of curiosity, what's the most credit that any of you guys have had at DVDPlanet at a single time?

Ha! I said in my last post that I'd likely see my latest credit go through this morning, and sure enough both of the quotes did just that. I'm just about set for the rest of the year.

I'll be sending more to them over the next week though.

I tried something on the above two quotes that I had never tried before. A quote or two ago they refused a couple of titles that I sent them, and when I got the titles back from them they looked fine to me. In one of the two recent quotes I sent, I included the two titles that they refused before, and this time they accepted them both. I'm sure it depends on who does the order, but I thought that was pretty cool.

I also got credited today. I am up to $858 in credit with another box going out today.

My single largest credit at one time was $229.

The most I've ever received from a single quote was from one of the two from earlier today - $383.30.

There's no telling how much some of the people here have total, heh.

Has anyone ever had trouble logging in? I have now 2 accounts set-up with different e-mail addresses, but it tells me they are invalid, when I know the passwords are correct. I have about $460 in credit to send out. This sucks.

Yeah, I'll be doing two shipments over the next few months, should have about $300 in credit. Gotta start thinking about that first wk in November...
