We will shut down the current DeepDiscountDVD.com and DeepDiscountCD.com web sites at 7:00pm CST on Wednesday, February 7th. Please place all orders prior to this time. All orders placed at DeepDiscountDVD.com and DeepDiscountCD.com will be transferred to the new DeepDiscount.com web site. Your complete order status and order history will be available on the new DeepDiscount.com web site after 7:00 p.m. CST on Friday, February 9th. You will be able to log-in to the new DeepDiscount.com web site using your existing DeepDiscountDVD.com or DeepDiscountCD.com log-in information. If you have both a DeepDiscountDVD.com and DeepDiscountCD.com account with the same email, your accounts will be combined. You will use your DeepDiscountDVD.com password to log-in. All wish lists and order history will be available on the new web site. For security reasons your billing information will not be transferred to the new site. I've had nothing but great experiences with Deep Discount DVD so I'm rather excited for their new site. If their book prices are as competitive as their DVD prices I'll be in heaven.

About frickin' time. I've been holding off buying books for the last month until I can see what DDD's prices will be.
But do I read that right -- it'll be two days before Deep Discount will be up and running? |
I'd imagine the site itself will be up and running and taking orders within a few hours. As far as I can tell it will just take them at least two days to transfer all of your order status and order history information from their previous site.
That's what I got out of it, at least, though I could be completely wrong. |
Very good news. I really hope their book prices are good.
They should do a big sale to celebrate the new site. |

I got the site to load once, but I didn't see a search bar. I hit reload and it started redirecting from Deepdiscount.com to DeepdiscountDVD.com until Firefox killed the connection.

I'm liking the new site, and the prices of books (from the very few I've looked at so far) seem to be pretty competitive. I made an order for a few DVDs, here's hoping it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

Dave, I know it's kind of a small thing but I sorta miss the "Hello Tom" that you had with the old site.

When I try to go to the site it redirects me and takes me straight to DeepDiscountDVD.com, and has the big long message.

Thus far, everything is working very well for me. Sans the search engine, however, but considering the new site is less than a few hours old... I'd say it's doing rather swimmingly.

Could you let me know what problem you're having with the search engine? I'm in Firefox and it's working fine for me.

I've cleared cookies, caches, retarted IE, FireFox, and Opera, and it still redirects me. Oh well.

It would be great if, during a sale like the Universal one going on, you had the option like we used to to see all the sale titles listed on one page instead of clicking through 10 pages. Speaking of which, can you tell us when the sale ends? Good job! |
I keep getting kicked to a LearningSearch screen whenever I do a search. Hopefully that is just related to the DNS changes.

I noticed you mentioned that the Wish Lists will be carried over. When I logged in, my wish list was empty. Is it just a change over issue?

Any chance of a Deep Discount branded credit card like Amazon and Borders have? I'm envisioning something with points that accrue and get redeemed for gift certificates.

Upon logging into my account, it shows an incorrect billing/shipping address for me. It seems to allow me to make alterations to my billing address, but not my shipping address. Do you intend to not allow customers to ship to addresses other than their billing address? And since the shipping address is wrong, how do I change it (besides opening another account)?
