Amazon Gold Box - changes?

Anybody elses gold box going from 10 semi-random things everyday to a page with a bunch of sales? ..

At least before something good would come up once in a while and it was somewhat tied into with what you previously bought... now it looks like its a random item they want to get rid of and sales that probably already existed elsewhere on the site..

Wow. That sucks. I'll admit I was getting tired of seeing Prada purses and George Michael CDs, but I was tempted a couple times, and did buy a couple things; plus it was nice that they were somewhat trying to 'fill my needs'.

This new change stinks. I had been getting some pretty good deals on CDs and DVDs.

I gave up on looking at the Gold Box a couple years ago. Is there any reason I should start up again?

What? Oh no! I knew I should have grabbed that Vibrasonic Mole Chaser when I had the chance.

Yep, it's gone from occasional-purchase-worthy to no-interest-for-me

Yep, this new Gold Box sucks big time. I always keep my Amazon wishlist up to date, so my Gold box was really good at giving me deals on things off of my wishlist or other related items.

Boo, Amazon.

Heh, I bought a case two weeks ago to fill out a $25 order. My wife love's 'em, and <0.50 per tube is a good price.

I'd it.

I actually used the Gold Box quite a few time. Hey it's a buck or so but I'd often get offered books and DVDs I'd buy anyway.

I think it was usually either an additional 5 or 10% off their regular prices. Adds up, and can make something slightly more tempting. More so than the current 'box'.
