DVDWorldUSA.com Experiences?
I ran several searches with no results. Here's my story....planned a class party for my 8yo for this Saturday. Sent out the invite last week listing "Over the Hedge" as our Drive-Way movie. Realized the next day that it doesn't get released until the following Tuesday....fudge.
A very nice member sent me an email after I posted a request in dvdexchange forum looking for an early copy...about trying dvdworldusa.com. I looked up the site...they get R1 releases up to 3 wks early and you can pay a premium to get the copy early....$33 with their express shipping. The movies are shipped from FL.,USA. Placed the order on Thursday...cc charge approved. Sent a follow up email on Friday...no response. Sent another over the weekend...thinking first thing today to get a response...nothing. It would appear it hasn't shipped and really at this point if it shipped on Tuesday...good chance it wouldn't arrive by Saturday anyway...so I've paid $20 premium for a movie that will probably arrive on or after the street date.
Anyone have experiences with this outfit? Hoping they do a poor job of updating the order status and it's shipped. Anyone got a refund from them? This looks like a $20 lesson for me...could be worst...now it seems more like salt in the wound.
