Alright guys and gals, I'm wondering how this works.

I went to Overstock.com and was going to purchase a copy of Madden '07. I found a $5 off coupon I used. For the weekend it says 12% off orders + only $1 shipping. Also, their is a promotion for 10% off purchases for new customers (which I would be). It says I would see the discounts at the billing and shipping page, but yet I only see the $5 off coupon.

Can anyone tell me how I get the discounts they have listed?

You only get the one discount, whichever is highest, I'd imagine.

In most cases their promos don't apply to the Entertainment section of the site. Almost everything they advertise in the way of discounts is to get you to buy products from the other sections since they have a larger profit margin to work with.

Yeah - usually coupons do not work for items comprised solely of media (books, cds, dvds, etc...) you have to add some other stuff.
