Anyone making a list in anticipation of DDD big sale?..

I put this here. Since if I put it in the bargains or store forum people would freak. Also, this is not a thread asking when the sale will be. Just asking if anyone is already making a list of what they want if they do have it soon? I find that (especially with tv dvd sets) I have been holding off hoping the sale will be soon.

My list....

Lois & Clark: seasons 2 & 3
Deadwood: season 2
Night Stalker complete series
Batman vs Dracula (gift set)
Wild Wild West: season 1
Quantum Leap: season 4

And if its after July 18 then add...

Pretender: season 4
Adv.of Brisco County Jr
Amazing Stories: season 1
Jack of All Trades: complete series

People will freak that you put it here. It DOES belong in the Store Forum or Bargains Forum, or Sale-To-Be Forum.

Anyway, I'm done with giving business to DDD. Their customer service sucks, their shipping times are unnacceptible, and the recent "we sold your info to marketers" crap was deplorable.

I know that many members still choose discount prices over the above, and that's fine by me. Personally though, I will never give them another penny of my money.

So your short on topic answer would be "no" ?

I dump wanted titles on their wish list if I don't grab 'em the week they come out - that way I'm always ready with more titles than I can afford.

No. I don't do enough shopping through ddd to have a list. Once the sale starts up, I decide then what to get. It's easier for me to save money that way.

I still have a bunch of Criterions on my wishlist, but since they jacked up their prices so much after their sale in March, the 20% off prices will be comparable to DVDPlanet's everyday prices. I know they're the same parent company, so I'm not really hurting them by just ordering from another storefront, but still, it's the thought that counts.

I will probably be ordering a handful of catalogue titles and some stuff for my wife, since the prices on that stuff will probably be more than adequate.

No. I have been buying alot with their other sales. I was waiting to pick-up the Fox Film Noirs with the 20% code but they went and had a buy 2 get 1 free offer including pre-orders and bought alot of other Fox pre-order titles in this that I might have used the 20% code on.

I have a few things in mind I wasn't able to pick up at the last sale since I didn't have a job. Now that I've had a job for 4 months (not my first, just the first since last summer), I'm spending mother****ers.

Some examples:

Toxie's Top Ten (Gotta love Troma, and gotta love this packaging -- 10 movies for $20)

Toxic Avenger TOX BOX

Yeah, I'm trying to intentionally dumb down my collection! I already have the Nuke 'Em High set.

I can't believe this thread exists, I actually came in here for this EXACT reason. I am anticipating another sale bigtime and I was hoping to see something that said it started or is going to start soon. My wishlist is overflowing

The summer sale is typically at the end of June.

The summer code is typically at the end of June, but it's a stretch to call it a sale.
