Join RewardZone this week and get 30,000 points (= FREE)

It's in the Best Buy weekly ad. Join the RZ program by 10/1 and get 30,000 bonus points, which is equivalent to a $10 reward certificate (if they don't change the reward structure, that is).

I just joined RZ at the start of this month. I called customer service and they went ahead and gave me the 30,000 bonus points.

Thanks!

I've been waiting for my free year enrollment that everyone else has been getting. I think mine expires in a day or two. Also, I haven't gotten any certificates in months and each time I call to see where mine are, they tell me they're in the mail.

I'm beginning to think the only reason to sign-up for RZ is to get the instant discount on boxsets they seem to offer from time to time.

Unfortunately, the RZ change that has been mentioned in another thread may be happening all over, including Texas. In Ohio, they were supposedly giving away memberships BUT upped the redemption levels to something like $250 for a $5 cert instead of the $150 (because the customer wanted it - uh huh). In Dallas, yesterday, I saw a huge cert chart posted in checkout line, showing the points and corresponding cert dollars - they were NOT the $150 range.

So the 30,000 points may only get you $5 and not $10 back, if you are lucky and may depend upon where you are in the country.

I have not gotten any info or such on any changes. Also I saw at the registers that they were still selling the cards (the register display had the $9.99 cards). Maybe the sign is a mistake, hopefully.

This so sucks if true !

I have yet to see a 'customer' wanting to pay 'more' (with $$ or points) for an item in a store.

They said customers wanted it (so more points for the same cert), wanted no rebate (so they could try to ditch rebates). I think their marketing people are either living in a fantasy world or just simply on crack.

I signed up on the last day of the offer and today I saw that a pending transaction has been posted to my account but I didn't see the bonus points yet. Anyone seeing the same problem?
