Newegg Returns?
I bought a product that said:
"**This item is warranted through the product manufacturer only."
So I figure if it's defective, I have to go through the manufacturer - when you click on the "What's This" option for the above warranty information, you get:
So it appears that a 30 day satisfaction guarantee still exists - it says on "ALL PURCHASES." I bought a hard drive enclosure - so one would think I still qualify.
However, if I go to get an RMA for a refund, they say:
"This item is not eligible for an online RMA. If the product is warranted by the manufacturer, please contact them directly for more infoRMAtion. You may review Newegg.com's warranty guidelines or contact us if you have any questions."

So...am I out of luck here? It seems as if they don't want to give me an RMA to get a refund and they want me to go through the manufacturer, however, Hawking's RMA policy is:
Screwed am I?
What's up with Newegg? They used to be the best and easiest to deal with and now they seem more like a superstore that doesn't care about the customer.

Money Back Guarantee/Refund policy
All merchandise unless otherwise indicated may be returned within 30 days from the original invoice date for a refund. CPUs must be returned within 7 days from the invoice date for a refund. 1. Newegg.com SATISFACTION GUARANTEE - Newegg.com offers our customers a 30-day satisfaction replacement or refund guarantee on all purchases, except:
* 7-day replacement or refund guarantee on all CPUs, including refurbished processors. All other refurbished merchandise has a 15 day warranty period.

Email their customer service. I had a similar situation just last week when i recieved a defective motherboard that was only warrented by the manufacturer, just like you had as well. I went and checked the RMA form online and it said I wasn't eligable as well. I simply emailed Newegg and explained the situation and in about 3 or 4 days I recieved an email back with an RMA number.

The only problem here is I want a refund - it's not defective. But it's well within the 30 days (just about 7). Though the 15% restocking fee is a bit high.
