adultdvdempire.com rental question

hopefully this doesnt belong in the adult forum, if so, sorry.

basically i joined adultdvdempire.com for a month rental membership. this is the second time i joined in a couple years. one of my DVD rentals have come up missing since i mailed it back to them (my turnover is extremely quick, 2 days at the most, so i get the most of my membership) and ive also been a member of many online DVD rental places in the past and never had one turn up missing. this MAY have also happened the first time i was a member and i didnt notice i was charged for the missing DVD. it is their policy to charge the customer if the DVD gets lost in the mail.

my question is whether anyone else had this happen specifically at adultdvdempire.com. it just seems odd that this happened now, but maybe it was just a long time coming, but im curious, has anyone else been charged by adultdvdemp for a missing DVD?

thanks.

happened to me a while back. they didnt charge me, but it took alnmost 2 months for them to do something about it, which meant 1 less rental out at a time for 2 months, even though I was paying for it. they also wouldn't refund the difference. i did end up disputing it with my cc company to get the difference back however.

I enrolled in their service for a month and got a month free. I was displeased with the service so I decided to cancel. I had had no significant problems sending or receiving DVDs to them, but as soon as I cancelled 3 DVDs somehow ended up lost in the mail. I wasn't aware of the problem until a few weeks after I had cancelled I was charged 20 dollars for each lost disc. The terms of service does not state that a customer is responsible for discs lost in transit either to or from adultdvdempire and I spoke with a customer service rep who told me this same thing. So after several phone calls and e-mails, some of which got kind of nasty, I was finally credited back the full amount. It was really strange though because I have never had any problems with any other DVD rental service via mail and I have been a member of Wal-Mart, Blockbuster and Netflix for a combination of about 2 years for all three. This is the first time that I had ever experienced a lost disc in the mail and it ended up being a very, very negative experience. I'll never deal with DVDEmpire or AdultDVDEmpire again. I'd recommend that you beware of AdultDVDEmpire rentals and just make sure that after you cancel your membership you have proof that you mailed back the discs that are still in your possession.

Sounds like a good place to avoid. Thanks for the warning.
